From the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15, we are reminded that Jesus will leave the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost. At Heart & Hands of East Texas, a Christian Job Corps site, we too are seeking those who need His care. Our desire is to serve as a resource for area churches as they meet men and women in need of job skills, employment support, fellowship, community, mentoring or discipleship.
 
We are also reaching out to area churches for volunteers who feel called to serve the men and women in our ministry. We need individuals willing to invest their time as personal mentors, cooking team, job coaches or teacher’s aides. The joy that comes from serving Him by serving “the least of these” is truly indescribable.
 
To accomplish all that we do, we also rely on financial support. We are seeking 50 churches, Bible study groups, community groups, businesses, or individuals to partner with us by pledging $100 per month to help us meet our annual budget.

In John 17, we see Jesus praying not only for His disciples of that day, but also for all who would believe in Him afterward—including us. He prays for our unity and our love for one another, so that the world would know that He truly is who He said He was
