About Us
Mission Statement

Equipping men and women with job skills and life skills in a Christ-centered environment.

What is Heart & Hands of East Texas?
We are a Christian Job Corps Site. We help men and women build a strong future with practical job-readiness skills and a solid foundation in God’s Word. We are committed to meeting each student’s unique learning needs, empowering them to build confidence, set meaningful life goals and discover hope. Essential job training, Bible study, and personal mentoring form the foundation for spiritual growth and life transformation—bringing immeasurable value to each individual, their families, and our community.

History
CJC is a nationwide organization established in 1994 by the Women’s Missionary Union to support women living in poverty. The program later expanded to include men as well. Heart & Hands of East Texas began as CWJC Lindale, a satellite of CWJC Tyler, and became a certified site in 2016. In 2021 we changed our name to Heart & Hands of East Texas to reflect our desire to include all area communities and to serve men through our ministry as well.
